Coneys, Cookies Come to Greater Lansing
The foundational base of the food pyramid for every true Michigander begins and ends with the Coney Island.
A storied staple, Leo’s Coney Island, recently expanded its Mitten empire with a new mid-Michigan restaurant at 2520 E. Jolly Road, east of Aurelius Road at the location of a former Burger King.
Manager Ali Alsidi said the location was selected when “Leo Sr., the guy who founded the company, was in the area and saw this was a nice building in a good area and lots of parking.”
Alsidi said Jolly Road is a heavy-traffic area and is right near the highway, making stopping for a hot dog, entree, burger or breakfast items more convenient. Hours are 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sundays.
