In continued efforts to provide care, service and patient experience during the COVID-19 pandemic, Lansing Urgent Care launched telemedicine services. Patients can now connect with Lansing Urgent Care providers through a secure, interactive video via their smartphone, tablet or computer from the comfort of their home, business or place of stay.

Conditions and symptoms that may be appropriate for a telemedicine visit include COVID-19 symptoms, the common cold, upper-respiratory infections, allergies, eye infections, rashes, follow-up visits and other minor conditions.

“It is our distinct honor to serve this community in its greatest time of need,” said by Dr. Terry Matthews, owner and medical director of Lansing Urgent Care. “It has always been our mission to provide high-quality, relevant medical care to alleviate the pressures on our community’s emergency departments, primary care offices and specialists when appropriate. Telemedicine services allow our team to do that better than ever during this COVID-19 crisis.”

On its website, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommended leveraging telemedicine technologies and self-assessment tools to protect both patients and staff during the pandemic.

“We’re so proud of our resilient health care team who suit up every day to care for the sick and injured, and now we can help so many more people get the care they need in a timely manner, safely and in the comfort of their own homes,” Matthews said. “This is one of thousands of proud moments my wife, Catherine, and I have felt about the work our team does every day. They’re embracing this new way of delivering health care to those in need with the same passion and love of helping others as they have for over 13 years.”

TeleHealth services can be scheduled by visiting lansingurgentcare.com/telemed. The hours for Lansing Urgent Care’s telemedicine visits are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays.

Lansing Urgent Care clinics remain open and available to treat all non-life-threating conditions in a safe and sanitized environment. The 505 N. Clippert St. location near the Frandor Shopping Center is the only 24/7 urgent care in the Greater Lansing area, and it remains open 24/7 to serve the community. If you would like to be seen in clinic, you can check in online at LUC123.com and choose a time that works for you as well as view estimated walk-in wait times for all seven area clinics.
