If someone asked you to recommend an advisor, what would your criteria be? When asked this very question, R.J. Shook, president of SHOOK research, said, “If we’re going to recommend advisors to the public, we have to make sure every advisor is high quality.”
Shook Research developed Forbes’ ranked list of the “Best-In-State Wealth Advisors,” published on Feb. 15; a Greater Lansing area financial advisor has made the grade.
Merrill Lynch revealed last week that Financial Advisor Kevin Draggoo has been recognized on the list. Draggoo lives in East Lansing and has been a part of Merrill Lynch’s East Lansing office for 33 years. In fact, 638 Merrill Lynch advisors are included on this year’s list — the most from any firm.
“We are incredibly proud of Kevin and his recognition on this list, and believe he consistently demonstrates what it means to be a leader in the wealth management space through strong dedication to a high standard of service for our clients. We look forward to celebrating and supporting his future success,” said Merrill Lynch Market Executive Renee Tabben.
SHOOK Research creates rankings of advisors that are foremost in offering best practices and providing a high-quality experience for clients. The algorithm is designed to fairly compare the business practices of a large group of advisors, based on a concentration of quantitative and qualitative elements.
Investment performance is not a decisive factor because client objectives and risk tolerances vary, and advisors rarely have audited performance reports. Rankings are based on the opinions of SHOOK Research and are neither representative nor indicative of any one client’s experience, future performance or investment outcome. Forbes and SHOOK Research do not receive any fee in exchange for rankings.
