East Lansing DDA Business Relief Program Grants Now Open for Application

Help is available to East Lansing businesses who may have missed the first round of COVID-19 related relief grants.

There is more help available for downtown East Lansing businesses still reeling from the effects of the novel coronavirus. But act fast, the deadline is quickly approaching.

A total of 43 grants are available for brick-and-mortar businesses within the East Lansing Downtown Development Authority boundary.

The second round of $2,500 grants for DDA businesses facing financial hardships as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic are open through 11:59 p.m. Friday, June 5. They can be accessed by visiting the city of East Lansing’s website.

Businesses wishing to apply need to fall within the following criteria:

  • Must be physically located within the DDA boundaries
  • Must be directly affected by the COVID-19 crisis and related executive orders
  • Must not be delinquent on any accounts, fees owed to the city of East Lansing prior to the city’s COVID-19 local state of emergency declaration

Business that received a grant through the first round are not eligible for the second round of funding. A complete description of the eligibility requirements, review and scoring process, and timeline are available at cityofeastlansing.com/businessrelief.
