New Neighborhood in Holt Offers Discount to Frontline Health Care Workers

Holt is getting a new apartment complex with a more single-family feel – and there is a discount available for health care workers who have been on the front lines of COVID-19.

Redwood Living Inc. has started construction on a brand-new neighborhood on the corner of Holbrook Drive and Cedar Street in Holt. The community is currently offering a discount to frontline health care workers. The discount will run at least through August, but an extension of the program will be evaluated on a month-to-month basis.

Upon completion of both phases, the neighborhood will house 199 apartment homes ranging in size from 1,294 to 1,620 square feet.

“There is about two to three more months of construction remaining until the first apartments are complete,” said Lisa Pocci, vice president of agency services. “So the estimated date for the first move-ins is around early to mid-September 2020.”

These apartments differ from other apartment complexes because they are designed to feel more like single-family homes. The apartments have their own addresses, private entrances and attached garages. Each apartment will have two bedrooms and two baths with a two-car garage.

Redwood Living is also very conscious of COVID-19 and its impact on the apartment viewing process.

“All Redwood team members are wearing masks,” explained Pocci. “We’re cleaning high-touch surfaces in the model and practicing social distancing with all teammates, residents and prospective residents. Redwood offers in-person, contactless tours of apartment homes (video call with the neighborhood manager as the prospective resident walks through) as well as completely virtual tours via video call for those who are uncomfortable with a traditional tour with a mask or for those unable to wear a mask.”
