Known as one of the biggest business awards celebrations in the region, the 29th annual Greater Lansing Entrepreneurial Awards are set to take place at Eagle Eye Golf Club and Banquet Center on Thursday, Oct. 5. Nominations are now open.
Nominating a business or nonprofit is simple, visit greaterlansingawards.com and fill out the information online. The nominated business will then be notified and asked to fill out a confidential nominee packet. Nominations can come from customers, clients and staff. A business can even self-nominate. Each business, entrepreneur or nonprofit must have been in operation for two years to qualify and must be within the Greater Lansing region.
Categories include Entrepreneur of the Year, Business of the Year, Socially Responsible Entrepreneur, Entrepreneurial Spirit and Nonprofit of the Year. Nominees are judged by a special panel of business owners in early fall.
Businesses that have won Greater Lansing Entrepreneurial Awards in the past can be nominated again, but they will only be eligible to win awards they have not received before.
The awards begin with a special cocktail hour including entertainment and are followed by dinner and the awards ceremony.
Michigan State University Federal Credit Union is the presenting sponsor of this year’s Entrepreneurial Awards. Those interested in becoming a sponsor for this year’s event are encouraged to reach out by calling (517) 203-3333 or emailing info@m3group.biz.
Winners of the 2023 awards will be featured in the November issue of 517 Magazine.
