“Let’s start supporting each other”. Key words from Urban Embodiment as it puts Small Business Expo 2 into play at the Fledge on Aug. 3.

The vendor show and entrepreneur-networking event is an opportunity to meet with Lansing-area entreprenuers and is free to the public. The event is unique in that it’s family friendly and offers a chance to shop and mingle along with the networking aspect.

The event was co-founded by Lekeitia Cokley and DeSean Whipple in 2017 with a mission of bringing people together through social activities. Urban Embodiment has held bus trips, speed dating and business expos, all with a goal to encompass multiple aspects of life to educate, entertain and enlighten.

This year’s expo will feature 15 small-business vendors from the Lansing area including makeup, jewelry, clothing and dessert vendors.

Speakers booked include Vickie Gould, the author of “How to Write a Best-Selling Book that Saves You Time and Gets You Automatic Clients” and owner of Gorden Homes, Carl Gorden II.

The two will be in attendance to discuss essential ways to start, strengthen and move a small business forward.

For details on the event, or to secure a table, email urbanembodiment313@gmail.com.
