Nestled in the heart of Meridian Township, Henry’s Place is much more than just a restaurant — it’s a gathering spot, a culinary adventure, and a warm and welcoming space where guests are treated like family.

Opened in 2016 by Henry Kwok, this cozy establishment at 4926 Marsh Road began as a vision to offer something unique to the local dining scene, transforming a former Christian bookstore into a hub for food enthusiasts and community members alike.

Here, “scratch kitchen” isn’t just a tagline — it’s a way of life. From house-made sausages to hand-battered fish, burgers and even slow-cooked prime rib, everything is prepped fresh daily, ensuring that quality and flavor shine through in every bite.

“We wanted to bring something local and unique,” Kwok said.

The goal was clear from the beginning: Create a comfortable, inviting space where quality prevails over quantity and each item on the menu is carefully chosen and crafted. The result is a menu that, while small, doesn’t skimp on taste or creativity.

Behind the scenes is Sean Zellmer, a standout chef trained at the Wilson Talent Center, who brings his expertise and creativity to Henry’s Place. Zellmer has crafted a menu that appeals to the local palate but doesn’t shy away from being bold. The offerings at Henry’s Place strike a balance between comfort and creativity, with familiar pub fare elevated to a new level.

One of the standout aspects of Henry’s Place is its commitment to creating a comfortable and memorable experience for every visitor. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with some of the most comfortable bar seating around. The team at Henry’s strives to remember each guest’s name, making everyone feel like part of the family. It’s a place where you come for the food but stay for the community. Whether you’re a sports fan looking for a friendly spot to watch the game or someone celebrating a special occasion, Henry’s Place has a spot just for you.
