National Assisted Living Week encourages assisted living communities all over the United States to celebrate those in their care by holding events and activities that will also help educate the public.
With a nod to essential frontline caregivers battling COVID-19, “Caring is EssentiAL” has been announced as the theme of this year’s National Assisted Living Week.
Grandhaven Living Center of Lansing wants to recognize all of the essential workers who impact the lives of their residents, including health care professionals and frontline responders with a free carnival from 4-6 p.m. Sept. 16.
Attendees can enjoy live entertainment, shaved ice, food, games, prizes and a chance to pie their executive director in the face — all at a safe social distance with COVID-19 precautions in place.
All health care professionals and first responders including police officers, firefighters, EMTs and others are encouraged to attend.
Grandhaven Living Center is at 3145 W. Mount Hope Ave. in Lansing. Visit them online at grandhavenlivingcenter.com for more information.
