High Caliber Celebrates Educators for Appreciation Day

The 2023-2024 school year may be in the final lap, but the fun is just getting started for local educators.

High Caliber Karting & Entertainment is inviting teachers and education staff throughout the Greater Lansing area to a day of complimentary activities and enjoyment May 6 during the venue’s second annual Appreciation Day. Education-based staff with valid ID will receive a free all-access day pass to unwind and celebrate the approaching end of another successful school year.

“We’re excited to invite the teacher and staff back out for another day of fun play after the success of last year’s Appreciation Day,” said Jordan Munsters, owner and CEO of High Caliber. “Hundreds of teachers and staff came out together to create memories and blow off some steam, some guests were so overjoyed with their inclusion for the day that they were brought to tears talking about how much this meant to them. We hope even more educators and staff will hear about their day and come out for it.”

Teachers, assistants, professors, administrators and custodial staff — anyone who dedicates their days to educating future generations — are encouraged to enjoy a day or evening of entertainment, strengthening the bonds essential for effective teamwork through a variety of engaging activities.

While National Teacher Day is officially observed May 7, High Caliber’s celebration will take place Monday, May 6, providing teachers and staff with a lively start to the week following Cinco De Mayo festivities. Additionally, High Caliber will host a special night of karaoke from 7-11 p.m. for those who love to take the stage and belt out their favorite tunes. There is no drink or age requirement for karaoke since it is hosted in the family entertainment center.

The complimentary all-access pass includes unlimited access to activities such as ax throwing, throwbowling, gellyball battles, archery tag, pocket soccer, dodgeball, access to the rage room (participants may bring their own items to smash or purchase them on-site) and up to three go-kart races. Arcade play cards, food and beverages are available for purchase.

Teachers and staff are kindly requested to present identification upon check-in during High Caliber’s regular operating hours from noon to 10 p.m. High Caliber is at the Meridian Mall, 1982 Grand River Ave. in Okemos.
