Melting Moments signature ice cream sandwiches are returning to Spartan Stadium, the Breslin Center and all Michigan State University arena events beginning this fall.

This return comes seven years after MSU canceled its contract with the ice cream company.

“For almost 30 years, enjoying a Melting Moments ice cream sandwich was synonymous with MSU sports,” said Achille DiNello, spokesperson for Melting Moments. “We’re looking forward to introducing a new generation of Spartans to Melting Moments and welcoming home alumni and friends as they root on the Spartans this fall and make new memories with a familiar fan favorite.”

Melting Moments ice cream sandwiches will go on sale at Spartan Stadium on Sept. 11 at the first home game versus Youngstown State.

The Sparrow Advantage

“While we have been away from MSU sports, we continue creating memories in the community,” said DiNello. “We partner with hundreds of convenience and grocery stores across the region to distribute our collection of signature items, and we cater around 50 special events — like weddings, family reunions, graduation open houses — a year.”

Many people, including WILX-TV 10 news anchor David Andrews, are excited about the ice cream sandwiches return to MSU.

“Melting Moments Ice Cream dropped off a bag of their signature ice cream cookie sandwiches today to announce they’ll be back at Spartan Stadium for home football games this fall after a seven-year hiatus! Sweet,” Andrews posted to social media from the WILX office.
