Lumberjack Festival Returns to Old Town

The Old Town Commercial Association announced the return of the fourth annual Brrs, Beards & Brews: A Lumberjack Festival to Old Town Lansing from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 4.

This old-school event will feature feats of strength team competitions, beard and mustache competitions featuring local and regional competitors, beer, bourbon, and more. In addition, there will be outdoor vendors and Old Town businesses offering lumberjack-themed fun for all.

“We are thrilled to bring the Old Town Lumberjack Festival back to the community,” said Robert Doran-Brockway, executive director of the commercial association and spokesperson for the festival. “We invite all burly and not-so-burly lumberjacks, lumberjanes and everyone in between who is at least 21 years old and has a valid ID to come out and join us for a day of fun and competition.”

A note to remember, furry friends should stay home and outside food or beverage is not allowed, as the festival will have plenty of that for attendees.

There is a suggested $10 donation at the door that goes directly to the commercial association, the nonprofit that supports the neighborhood with business recruitment, beautification, community engagement, cultural preservation and economic development in Old Town.

For those who think they and four of their friends have what it takes to create a coed team to win the Feats of Strength, register here: https://docs.google.com/…/1FAIpQLSdfXZb3eY9-vB…/viewform.
