Peel, core and slice the apples, toss with lemon juice.
Place apples, water and cinnamon in a large pot over medium heat.
Cover and cook for 15-20 minutes or until tender.
Use a potato masher (or blender or food processor to “puree” the apples) to reach the desired consistency.
Serve with a dash of cinnamon on top.
Let applesauce cool to room temperature, then store in airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. You can store it for up to two months in freezer.
