Starfarm Presents Rad Fest This Weekend

Old Town is about to get rad, dude — and it’s all happening Saturday, Sept. 9, from 7:30-9 p.m. at the Urban Beat outdoor concert venue.

Iconic local band Starfarm is presenting its first Rad Fest, an outdoor concert with a giant video backdrop, including super-rad effects from Paradigm FX.

Starfarm is known for its high-energy 1980s vibe that packs every venue it plays.

A sellout crowd is expected as Michigan State University alum D.J. Dave opens the show as well as spins between sets. With more than 20 years of experience, the multi-genre D.J. is sure to be a draw.

Lansing-based production team Moon Disco will D.J. an afterglow party happening inside Urban Beat, included with Rad Fest entry.

Concert grounds will open at 7 p.m. and tickets are $20 in advance. The price goes to $30 the day of the event.

There will be full bar service at the event along with drink specials and food truck options in the Old Town Social District. Restrooms will be found within concert grounds.

517 Magazine is a media sponsor.

The event is for those 18 and older. Get tickets here or visit the event on Facebook. For those wanting to pick up physical tickets, they can be picked up at Urban Beat.
